EXCLUSIVE: Tubi has locked down a raft of big-ticket movies for its international services in the UK, Australia and Canada, with titles including Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Jurassic World landing on the free streamer.
Fox-owned Tubi recently said it has surpassed 110 million monthly active users. Its latest international deals with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution and Sony Pictures Entertainment add hundreds of films and TV episodes to its service.
The deals means that in the UK, Sony-distributed Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Baby Driver and The Da Vinci Code will be added to the Tubi service. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Shaun of the Dead are among the titles coming from NBCU.
In Australia, the movies being added include Ex Machina, Jumanji and Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird. The titles coming to Tubi in Canada include Jurassic World, Happy Gilmore and The Fifth Element.
Tubi has been steadily bolstering its international service with studio movies and series. It added hundreds of titles in Canada earlier this year. The UK is another big international market for Tubi; in April it said it had topped 75,000 movies and TV episodes on its local service, and it claims 50% year-over-year growth in total viewing time and monthly viewers in the country.

He added: “These agreements with NBCUniversal and Sony Pictures Entertainment give viewers across Australia, Canada and the UK even greater access to premium movies and television for free, while strengthening the breadth, choice and discovery that set Tubi apart.”
